Welcome to the Madison County School System, a fast-growing school district in north Alabama and an Alabama State Department of Education-designated Purple Star District!
Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Madison County offers a diverse culture with numerous educational and recreational amenities. Did we mention that our county is host to such organizations as NASA, FBI, ATF, Redstone Arsenal, Hudson Alpha, and many other research and development organizations?
The Madison County School System educates nearly 20,000 students daily across 28 campuses, including five high schools, four middle schools, two intermediate schools, eleven elementary schools, two K-8 schools, and two K-6 schools. In addition to the previously mentioned campuses, MCSS offers a Career Tech Center, PACE Academy, and Virtual Academy(4-12). The cities and communities we serve include Buckhorn, Gurley, Harvest, Hazel Green, Meridianville, New Hope, New Market, and Toney.
With a vision of Leadership, Passion, and Knowledge, Madison County School System equips our students for the future through technology, character education, and a wide range of programs offered inside and outside the classroom -
